BS EN 10025 S275 High Yield Strength Structural Steel The S stands for Structural steel, 275 stands for the minimum yield strength of 275MPa, the J2/JR/K2 and JO denote the charpy impact test toughness relations as in the EN 10025-2 S275JR High Yield Strength Structural Steel Plate. The different grades of the BS EN10025 structural steel plate have different mechanical properties. The least minimum yield strength is for the S355 G1 grade with 355MPa and the most is of S460G4+M grade with 460MPa. The tensile strength of the s235 structural steel plate is also high with the S460G4+M with 530MPa and the 355G1 has 470MPa.
MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF STRUCTURAL STEEL AT The studied materials were common structural steel grades with nominal yield strength varying from 350N/mm2 to 460N/mm2. The actual yield strength varied significantly from the nominal values and this has to be taken into account. The materials are listed in the Table 1 below with the nominal and measured values at room temperature.
